Description
1999-00 Dave Andreychuk Boston Bruins Game Worn Jersey
Lot #125
This home white air-knit gamer by Pro Player was worn by Dave Andreychuk during the 1999-00 NHL season. Drafted in the 1st round of the 1982 NHL Entry Draft by the Buffalo Sabres, Dave would go onto a career that spanned an impressive 23 seasons. He played in Buffalo for 11 years before moving onto Toronto. After parts of 4 seasons with the Leafs, Dave joined the Devils for 4 years. Other stops included Boston, Colorado, another year in Buffalo and a final 4 seasons in Tampa Bay, where Dave captured the trophy that had eluded him to that point, the Stanley Cup. Andreychuk is currently ranked 13th on the NHL’s all-time goal scoring list with 640. His 1338 career points are good for 27th best in the history of the sport. A member of the vaunted 50-goal club, Dave netted a career best 53 for Toronto in 1993-94. Longevity is a respected term among NHLers and Andreychuk fits the definition having finished his career with 1639 games played, the 4th highest total in league history. After serving as team Captain and hoisting the Cup in Tampa Bay, Dave called it quits on what was a most impressive career. A spot in the Hall of Fame awaits this 2-time NHL All Star.

Sewn to the right breast of this gamer is the NHL’s year 2000 patch. The game wear on this 1st set size 56 sweater consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, an inch long un-repaired gash above the back right hem, pilling and a handful of team-sewn repairs. On the inside hem is the official Boston Bruins game worn jersey and set tagging. A nice offering from Dave’s short time in Beantown.
