This white alternate air-knit gamer by OT Sports was worn by Darren Wetherill during the 1999-00 ECHL season. The Boston Bruins selected Wetherill in the 9th round of the 1990 NHL Entry Draft. This Regina native made his professional debut in 1994-95, beginning what would be a 10-year minor-pro career. This hard-nosed defenseman spent a fair amount of time in the sin bin, mainly across the ECHL, IHL and AHL.
Proudly sewn to the left breast of this gamer is the alternate Captain’s “A”. The game wear on this size XXL alternate is on the lighter side as would be expected. On the back player number is an autograph in Wetherill’s own hand. Worn for their annual Valentine’s Day game, the Renegades auctioned these jerseys to fans after the game. A nice example that sports a coveted letter of honor.
