1999-00 Chris Winnes B.C. Icemen Game Worn Jersey
Lot #177
This white air-knit gamer by Athletic Knit was worn by Chris Winnes during the 1999-00 UHL season. The Boston Bruins selected Wines in the 8th round of the 1987 NHL Entry Draft. This Ridgefield, CT native played his college hockey at the University of New Hampshire before making his NHL debut in 1990-91 with the Bruins. Chris represented Boston for parts of three seasons before playing a final NHL season with the Philadelphia Flyers. Winnes also spent 12 seasons in the minor leagues, playing predominantly in the IHL and AHL.

Sewn to the right breast of this gamer is the sponsorship patch. The game wear on this sweater is solid and consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired burn holes, washed out bloodstains and heavy inner pilling. Winnes appeared in a combined 17 regular season and playoff games for the Icemen scoring 7 goals and adding 11 assists for 18 points. A plate change is evident and the amount of game wear indicates that Winnes inherited some of the game use from a prior player. A well-worn example by this former NHL winger and UNH standout.
