1999-00 Brian Campbell Buffalo Sabres Game Worn Jersey – Rookie
Lot #128

This home white air-knit gamer by Pro Player was worn by Brian Campbell during the 1999-00 season, his rookie year. The Buffalo Sabres selected Campbell in the 6th round of the 1997 NHL Entry Draft. Campbell began his NHL career in 1999-00 with Buffalo and remained with the club for 8 seasons before a deadline deal sent him to San Jose in 2007-08. Campbell signed with the Chicago Blackhawks in 2008 where he spent three years before signing with the Florida Panthers, his home for the next five seasons. Campbell finished up his career in 2016-17, returning to the Chicago Blackhawks for his final year. Campbell was a 2nd Team NHL All Star in 2008 and played in three consecutive NHL All Star Games from 2007-09 and a final one in 2012, the year he captured the Lady Byng Trophy. Most importantly, Campbell helped lead the Hawks to a deep playoff run in his first season with the club and then was part of the team’s magical run as Chicago won the Stanley Cup in 2010, breaking one of sports’ longest droughts.

Sewn to the right breast of this gamer is the NHL’s year 2000 patch. The game wear on this sweater consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, material pulls and inner pilling. Campbell played in just a dozen games during his debut season while wearing this sweater on home ice. A nice rookie jersey worn by this four-time NHL All Star.
