This green knit gamer by CCM was worn by Joe Burton during the 1998 CHL All Star game. Burton, a Michigan native, played his college hockey at the University of Michigan-Dearborn before embarking on a lengthy minor pro career. All told Joe spent 11 seasons in the CHL, all with the Oklahoma City Blazers before playing one final year in the UHL with the Motor City Mechanics. Burton was twice the Bill Levins MVP Trophy winner, which is awarded to the CHL’s most valuable player. Joe is regarded as the CHL’s greatest all-time player and had the annual scoring title renamed in honor of him as the Burton Trophy. Burton is the CHL’s all-time leading scorer and he owns or shares 19 single-game individual and season scoring records. He was recently elected to the CHL Hall of Fame.

The 1998 CHL All Star Game was hosted by the Columbus Cottonmouths and held at their home rink in Georgia. Sewn to the left shoulder is the 1998 CHL All Star Game patch. Sewn to the right breast is the sponsorship patch. Sewn to the right shoulder is the Columbus Cottonmouths patch. Light game wear exists on this size 54 West All Star sweater. On the back player number is a beautiful black sharpie signature in Burton’s own hand. A tremendous offering that any CHL fan would appreciate and their collection shouldn’t be without.
