1998-99 Stephane Quintal Team Canada World Championships Pre-Competition Game Worn Jersey - Team Canada Letter
Lot #92
This red air-knit, mesh and knit combo gamer by Nike was worn by Stephane Quintal during the 1999 World Hockey Championships pre-competition. The Boston Bruins selected Quintal in the 1st round of the 1987 NHL Entry Draft. This Boucherville, PQ native made his NHL debut in 1988-89 with the Bruins where he skated for four seasons. Stephane went on to represent the St. Louis Blues, Winnipeg Jets, New York Rangers, Chicago Blackhawks and also spent 7 of his final 9 seasons with the Montreal Canadiens. All told this rearguard played 1037 games over the course of 16 NHL seasons and accumulated 1320 PIMS in the process.

The game wear on this size 56 sweater is on the lighter side with some exterior material pulls and fine inner pilling most worthy of mention. On the crest is a beautiful black sharpie signature in Quintal’s own hand. The 1999 World Championships were the only time that Quintal had the privilege to represent Team Canada. He played in 10 games, scoring 3 goals and adding 2 assists for 5 points during the competition, which took place in Norway. This jersey will be accompanied by a Team Canada letter.
