Description
1998-99 Roman Hamrlik Edmonton Oilers Game Worn Jersey
Lot #127
This home white air-knit gamer by CCM and Elite Sportswear was worn by Roman Hamrlik during the 1998-99 NHL season. The Tampa Bay Lightning selected Hamrlik with the 1st overall pick in the 1992 NHL Entry Draft, their first as a franchise. This Czech native made his NHL debut in 1992-93 with Tampa where he spent the first 6 years of his 20-year NHL career. Roman would go on to represent the Edmonton Oilers, New York Islanders, Calgary Flames, Montreal Canadiens, Washington Capitals and the New York Rangers. Hamrlik was the NHL’s active leader for games played with nearly 1400 prior to retiring in 2013. Roman was a three-time NHL All Star who represented his country in the World Championships, two World Cups of Hockey and two Olympics.

Proudly sewn to the left breast of this gamer is the alternate Captain’s “A”. The game wear on this 2nd set size 58 sweater is solid and consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired burn holes, inner pilling and no less than 30 team-sewn repairs. Sewn to the inside hem is the official Edmonton Oilers game worn jersey and set tagging. A well-worn example, complete with the coveted letter of honor and donned by this three-time NHL All Star.
