Description
1998-99 Joe Corvo Hampton Road Admirals Game Worn Jersey - Rookie - "10-year Anniversary"
Lot #440
This home white knit gamer by Bauer was worn by Joe Corvo during the 1998-99 ECHL season. Corvo was drafted by the LA Kings in the 1997 NHL Entry Draft. After spending 3 seasons at Western Michigan University, he turned pro and suited up for the Hampton Road Admirals for a total of 5 regular season games and another 4 in the playoffs. He next spent a season with Lowell and then another with Manchester before he joined the Kings in 2002-03. Joe spent 3 seasons on the Kings blueline after which he joined the Ottawa Senators for 2 years. Next up was Carolina where Joe spent parts of 4 seasons other than a brief stay with Washington and most recently a year on the Bruins blueline.

Sewn to the left breast is the Admirals 10-year Decade of Excellence patch. Sewn to the right breast is the sponsorship patch. The game wear on this sweater is solid and consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired burn holes and fine inner pilling. Joe’s 15 PIMS that season likely means he was in several fights, helping to explain the fight abuse in the form of washed out bloodstains and stitch popping at the neckline.
