1998-99 Jim Cummins Phoenix Coyotes Game Worn Jersey
Lot #558
This road black air-knit gamer by Starter was worn by Jim Cummins during the 1998-99 NHL season. Following 3 seasons at Michigan State University, this Dearborn Michigan native began his NHL career with the Detroit Red Wings in 1991-92. He spent parts of two years in Detroit before a partial season with Philly, parts of two more in Tampa and then parts of four years with the Chicago Blackhawks. Jim next spent parts of two years in Phoenix, a lone season with Montreal, parts of two with the Ducks and finished up his career with single season stints with the Islanders and Avalanche. All told this enforcer spent a dozen seasons patrolling the right wing. He played in 511 games and amassed 1538 PIMS during that span.

The game wear on this size 54 1st set sweater consists of stick marks, board burns, un-repaired burn holes, fine inner pilling and a team-sewn repair to the front collar that was likely torn at the hands of an opponent during one of Jim’s numerous on ice scrums, during a season that saw him compile 190 PIMS. Shown above, for your enjoyment, are some video highlights of Cummins letting fly while wearing his road Coyotes jersey. Sewn to the inside hem is the official Phoenix Coyotes game worn jersey tagging.
