Description
1998-99 J.P. Dumont Chicago Blackhawks Game Worn Jersey Rookie
Lot #223

This road red air-knit gamer by Nike was worn by J.P. Dumont during the 1998-99 NHL season, his rookie year. The New York Islanders selected Dumont with the 3rd overall pick in the 1996 NHL Entry Draft. A contract dispute between Dumont and the Islanders caused the Isles to send Dumont to the Blackhawks via trade. J.P. made his NHL debut with Chicago in 1998-99 and played for parts of 2 seasons with the Hawks before joining the Buffalo Sabres where he spent 5 years. After leaving Buffalo, Dumont joined the Nashville Predators where he played for the final 5 years of his career. Despite never matching the gaudy scoring totals he amassed in juniors, Dumont ended his NHL career with better than 200 goals and 500 points.

Lighter game wear exists on this size 54 rookie sweater. On the back player number is a beautiful black sharpie signature in Dumont’s own hand. Penned in black sharpie on the inside of the NHL shield is a “3”. Dumont played in a total of 25 games as a rookie scoring 9 goals and 15 points to go along with 10 PIMS and a +7 to cap off an impressive rookie season.
