1998-99 Donald Brashear Vancouver Canucks Game Worn Jersey Photo Match
Lot #64
This road navy knit gamer by CCM was worn by Donald Brashear during the 1998-99 NHL season. This undrafted Bedford, IN native made his NHL debut in 1993-94 with the Montreal Canadiens where he played for parts of four seasons. Brashear went on to suit up for the Vancouver Canucks, Philadelphia Flyers, Washington Capitals and the New York Rangers over the course of his fight-filled 16-year NHL career. Brashear’s single season best 372 PIMS came in 1997-98 with the Canucks. During his career, this enforcer played in 1025 NHL games and racked up a most impressive 2634 PIMS.

The game wear on this 2nd set sweater consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired burn holes, fight abuse with washed out bloodstains, trauma to the front collar and neckline, stitch pops and inner pilling. Shown above is a beautiful photo match of Brashear wearing this exact jersey while letting fly during the 1998-99 season. On the back player number is a beautiful black sharpie signature in Brashear’s own hand. The official Vancouver Canucks game worn jersey patch is attached via safety pin. This tough guy played in all 82 games for the Canucks, racking up a well-earned 209 PIMS while wearing this sweater during road games. A terrific photo matched offering from the prime of this enforcer’s time in the Pacific Northwest.
