This home white air-knit gamer by Starter was worn by Donald Audette during the 1998-99 NHL season. The Buffalo Sabres selected Audette in the 9th round of the 1989 NHL Entry Draft. This 5’ 8” Laval native made his NHL debut in 1989-90 with the Sabres where he played for 10 seasons. Audette went on to represent the LA Kings, Atlanta, Dallas, Montreal and Florida. Audette played in the 2001 NHL All Star Game, a season that saw him tally a career best 32 goals and 71 points.
This jersey has been custom shortened for Audette by the team. The game wear on this 1st set size 52 sweater consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired burn holes, plenty of Starter material pulls, heavy inner pilling and a team-sewn repair. The fight strap has been customized with stunted skate laces affixed while the equipment man has penned his initials in black sharpie on the collar tagging. A well-worn customized example by this NHL All Star.
