This black alternate air-knit gamer by Nike was worn by Chris Therien during the 1998-99 NHL season. The Flyers drafted Therien in the 3rd round of the 1990 NHL Entry Draft. After spending several years at Providence College, Chris played for parts of two seasons with Hershey and the Canadian National Team. His NHL career began in Philadelphia during the 1994-95 season. He would roam the NHL bluelines for 11 years, all of them with the Philadelphia Flyers but for an 11-game stint late in 2003-04 with Dallas. With over 750 games in a Flyers uniform, Chris became a fan favorite and the 4th longest tenured Flyer in team history. He began a career on the Flyers radio broadcasts after he retired in 2006.
The game wear on this size 58 Nike sweater is solid and consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired burn holes, washed out bloodstains and heavy inner pilling. A terrific example from this player turned broadcaster.
