1998-99 Brad Brown Chicago Blackhawks Game Worn Jersey Alternate Career Best 205 PIMS
Lot #121
This black alternate air-knit gamer by Nike was worn by Brad Brown during the 1998-99 NHL season, his sophomore year. The Montreal Canadiens selected Brown in the 1st round of the 1994 NHL Entry Draft. This Baie Verte, NFLD native made his NHL debut in 1996-97 with the Canadiens where he played for parts of two seasons before joining the Chicago Blackhawks early on in the 1998-99 campaign. This tough guy later went on to play for the Rangers, Wild and Sabres before wrapping up his 7-year NHL career. While never replicating the 300+ PIMS seasons that he put forth with the Fredericton Canadiens in the AHL, Brown did post four consecutive triple-digit PIMS seasons and ended his NHL career with 747 PIMS in 330 games played.

The game wear on this size 58 sweater consists of stick marks, board burns, inner pilling. a heavily stretched and stitch popped collar, team-sewn reinforcement to the front and rear of the collar along with a team-sewn repair to the elbow. Penned in black sharpie on the reverse of the NHL shield is 99-3. Affixed to the inside is the official Sports Registry tag. A nice alternate that was worn by this enforcer during his sophomore season, a year that saw Brown arrive in Chicago and proceed to set a single season best 205 PIMS.
