1998-00 Mike Commodore University of North Dakota Game Worn Jersey
Lot #252
This green dazzle cloth gamer by Gemini was worn by Mike Commodore circa the 1998-00 seasons during his collegiate career at the University of North Dakota. The New Jersey Devils selected Commodore in the 2nd round of the 1999 NHL Entry Draft. Commodore spent 3 seasons clearing creases for the Fighting Sioux before making his NHL debut with the Devils in 2000-01. After 2 seasons in New Jersey, Mike went on to play for the Calgary Flames, Carolina Hurricanes, Ottawa Senators, Columbus Blue Jackets, Detroit Red Wings and Tampa Bay Lightning over the course of 11 NHL seasons. Commodore won the Stanley Cup in 2006 as a member of the Carolina Hurricanes.

Commodore’s career at UND is legendary and culminated with the NCAA championship in 2000. In 106 career games played, Commodore, who stands 6’ 4” and weighed in at 225 lbs., amassed 382 PIMS and is still looked upon as one of the most beloved players in school history. Though tagged as a size 52, this gamer measures out to an incredible size 64! The game wear on this mammoth sized sweater consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, stitch pops and inner pilling. Shown above is a 2-minute segment that features Commodore discussing his time with the Fighting Sioux. A tremendous offering from this fan favorite who had the good fortune to win both an NCAA and a Stanley Cup Championship!
