This road blue knit gamer by Bauer was worn by Victor Ignatjev during the 1997 IHL season. The San Jose Sharks selected Ignatjev in the 11th round of the 1992 NHL Entry Draft. This Latvian native spent the first few years of his career in Russia prior to coming to North America in 1992. Vic’s NHL career was brief, spanning 11 games in 1998-99 with the Pittsburgh Penguins. He did spend the 6 prior years in the IHL where he played for the KC Blades, Denver and Utah Grizzlies and the Long Beach Ice Dogs. After his stint with the Penguins, Ignatjev returned to Europe where he played for the next 10 seasons.
