1997-99 Jason Blake University of North Dakota Game Worn Jersey
Lot #251
This white dazzle cloth gamer by Gemini was worn by Jason Blake circa the 1997-99 WCHA season. After graduating from the University of North Dakota, this Moorhead, MN native began his NHL career in 1998-99 with the Los Angeles Kings. After parts of 3 seasons with the Kings, Blake joined the Islanders where he skated for 6 years. Jason then joined the Toronto Maple Leafs for parts of 3 seasons before joining the Anaheim Ducks. Blake set a career high when he netted 40 goals in 2006-07 with the Islanders. A year later, in his first season with the Leafs, Jason won the Bill Masterton Trophy.

Blake won a National Championship in 1997, his first season with North Dakota. His career with the Fighting Sioux is legendary and includes being named a Hobey Baker Award Finalist twice in his three years with the school. In 119 career games at North Dakota, Blake tallied 71 goals and added 100 assists for an astounding 171 points! His numerous accolades include being a First Team WCHA All Star selection in each of his 3 seasons and also earning the 1999 WCHA Player of the year Award.

The game wear on this sweater is solid and consists of numerous stick and slash marks, board burns, un-repaired burn holes, areas of heavy pilling both inside and out and a team-sewn repair. An awesome well-worn example from one of UND’s all-timers.
