1997-98 Tommy Albelin Calgary Flames Game Worn Jersey Photo Match Team Letter
Lot #124
This home white air-knit gamer by CCM was worn by Tommy Albelin during the 1997-98 NHL season. The Quebec Nordiques selected Albelin in the 8th round of the 1983 NHL Entry Draft. This native of Stockholm, Sweden made his NHL debut in 1987-88 with the Nordiques where he played for parts of two seasons. Tommy next represented the New Jersey Devils for parts of 8 seasons, and celebrated the 1995 Stanley Cup, the first in franchise history. Following parts of 6 seasons with the Calgary Flames, Albelin returned to New Jersey where he won another Stanley Cup before retiring after 18 NHL seasons.

Proudly sewn to the left breast of this gamer is the alternate Captain’s “A”. The game wear on this 1st set size 54 sweater is solid and consists of numerous stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired burn holes and inner pilling. Shown above is a beautiful photo match of Albelin wearing this exact jersey during the 1997-98 season. On the inside hem is the official Calgary Flames game worn jersey and set stamp. Dated images show Albelin wearing this sweater throughout the entire 1997-98 season. A well-worn photo matched example, complete with the coveted letter of honor by this two-time Stanley Cup Champion. This jersey will be accompanied by a Flames team letter.
