This home white air-knit gamer by Starter was worn by Steve Duchesne during the 1997-98 NHL season. Duchesne was an undrafted free agent who became one of the higher scoring defenseman of his generation, netting 227 goals and 752 points during a 16-year career that spanned over 1100 games. He had a dozen successive double-digit goal seasons, which included 20+ on 4 different occasions. His career best of 25 goals came in 1988-89 with the Los Angeles Kings, the team with which Steve spent the first 5 seasons of his career. His career best in points came with Quebec in 1992-93 when he registered 82 over a full slate of games. In his 16th and final season, Steve captured the Stanley Cup as a member of the Detroit Red Wings. Duchesne was a 3-time NHL All Star.

The game wear on this 1st set size 52 sweater is solid and consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired burn holes, material pulls, heavy inner pilling and some terrific team-sewn repair work.
