This maroon and black dazzle cloth alternate gamer by Gemini was worn by Steve DeBus during the 1997-98 WCHA season. DeBus, a native of Rochester, MN spent 3 years between the pipes for the University of Minnesota spanning 1995-98. After leaving the collegiate ranks, DeBus began a 6-year minor pro career that took him thru the IHL, ECHL, WPHL, UHL and CHL.
Proudly sewn to the left breast of this gamer is the alternate Captain’s “A”. This striking maroon and black alternate is a 1-year style that the team wore sparingly during the 1997-98 season. The game wear on this size XXXL sweater consists of stick and puck marks along with plenty of material pulls and pilling. This style is referred to as the Hankinson style alternate as it was designed by Team Captain Casey Hankinson. A fantastic example, complete with a letter of honor and donned by the Golden Gopher’s goaltender.
