Description
1997-98 Scott Young Anaheim Mighty Ducks Game Worn Jersey Alternate - Photo Match Team Letter
Lot #237

This home white air-knit alternate gamer by Nike was worn by Scott Young during the 1997-98 NHL season. The Hartford Whalers selected Young in the 1st round of the 1986 NHL Entry Draft. This Clinton, MA native played his college hockey at Boston University before playing for the US National Team in 1988. Young began his NHL career with Hartford in 1988 and remained with the club for parts of 4 seasons before a deal sent him to Pittsburgh where he won a Stanley Cup in 1991. Young joined the Nordiques in 1992-93 and spent 3 seasons with the club before transferring with the franchise to Colorado where he won his 2nd Stanley Cup. Scott went on to complete his 17-year NHL career after playing for the Mighty Ducks, Blues and Stars. This 40-goal scorer netted 342 career goals and 756 points.

Proudly sewn to the left breast of this gamer is the alternate Captain’s “A”. The game wear on this 2nd set size 54 alternate consists of stick marks, board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired burn holes, material pulls and inner pilling. Shown above is a beautiful photo match of Young wearing this exact jersey during the 1997-98 season. Sewn to the inside hip is the official Anaheim Mighty Ducks game worn jersey and set tagging. A nice photo matched offering of a pretty tough style and worn by this former 40-goal scorer during his only season with the Mighty Ducks. This jersey will be accompanied by a Ducks team letter.
