Description
1997-98 Rod Brind’Amour Philadelphia Flyers Game Worn Jersey
Lot #104
This home white air-knit gamer by Nike was worn by Rod Brind’Amour during the 1997-98 NHL season. The St. Louis Blues selected Brind’Amour in the 1st round of the 1988 NHL Entry Draft. After a year of college hockey at Michigan State University, this Ottawa native made his NHL debut in 1988-89 with the Blues where he skated for three seasons. Rod next joined the Philadelphia Flyers where his star immediately rose with four 30+ goal seasons during his 8 full seasons with the club, which included a trip to the Stanley Cup Finals. Rod next joined the Carolina Hurricanes where he played the final 10 years of his impressive career. During that time, Brindy went to a pair of Cup Finals, walking away with his first Championship in 2006. When all was said and done, Brind’Amour had played in 1484 games over 21 seasons, scoring 452 goals and adding 732 assists for 1184 points. He was a back-to-back winner of the Frank J. Selke Trophy as the NHL’s best defensive forward and played in the 1992 NHL All Star Game. Internationally, Brind’Amour represented Team Canada in the World Championships, the 1996 World Cup of Hockey and the 1998 Olympics.

Proudly sewn to the left breast of this gamer is the alternate Captain’s “A”. The game wear on this size 52 sweater is solid and consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired burn holes and inner pilling. A terrific well-worn example from a season that saw Brind’Amour score 36 goals.
