1997-98 Mike Johnson Toronto Maple Leafs Game Worn Jersey Rookie - Photo Match Team Letter
Lot #99

This road blue air-knit gamer by Nike was worn by Mike Johnson during the 1997-98 NHL season, his official rookie season. After playing his college hockey at Bowling Green State University, this winger made his NHL debut with the Toronto Maple Leafs in the spring of 1997. Johnson spent parts of 4 seasons with Toronto before playing for the Tampa Bay Lightning for parts of 2 seasons. At the deadline in 2000-01, Johnson joined the Phoenix Coyotes where he played for parts of 5 years before wrapping up his career with one-year stints in Montreal and St. Louis. All told, Johnson spent 11 seasons in the NHL.

The game wear on this 2nd set size 56 sweater is solid and consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired burn holes, material pulls, collar wear, inner pilling and team-sewn repairs. Shown above is a beautiful photo match of Johnson wearing this exact jersey during the 1997-98 season. Sewn to the inside hem is the official Toronto Maple Leafs game worn jersey tagging. A well-worn photo matched gamer from Johnson’s rookie season. This jersey will be accompanied by a Maple Leafs team letter.
