This home white air-knit gamer by Starter was worn by Kevin Brown during the 1997-98 NHL season. The jersey was later recycled to Ashlin Halfnight for use during the 1998-99 NHL pre-season. The Los Angeles Kings selected Brown in the 4th round of the 1992 NHL Entry Draft. This native of Birmingham, England made his NHL debut in 1994-95 with the Kings where he played for a couple of years. Kevin joined the Hartford Whalers in 1996-97 and then transferred with the franchise to Carolina in 1997-98. He finished up his NHL career with a couple of seasons with the Edmonton Oilers.

The Hartford Whalers selected Halfnight in the 9th round of the 1994 NHL Entry Draft. This Toronto native spent time with the Canadian National Team before playing four years of college hockey at Harvard University and graduating in 1997. Halfnight made his professional debut in 1997-98 and spent a couple of seasons with the AHL’s New Haven Beast before playing a year in Europe.

The game wear on this 1st set size 54 sweater consists of stick and slash marks, Starter material pulls and fine inner pilling. On the inside hem is the official Carolina Hurricanes Inaugural Season game worn jersey and set stamps. A nice first year piece of Carolina Hurricanes game worn history.
