Description
1997-98 Jean-Yves Leroux Chicago Blackhawks Game Worn Jersey Rookie - Photo Match
Lot #142

This road red air-knit gamer by Nike was worn by Jean-Yves Leroux during the 1997-98 NHL season, his rookie year. The Chicago Blackhawks selected Leroux in the 2nd round of the 1994 NHL Entry Draft. This Montreal native played four-years of junior hockey in the QMJHL with the Beauport Harfangs. Leroux made his NHL debut with a single game played in 1996-97 with the Chicago Blackhawks where he played for his entire five-year 220-game NHL career.

The game wear on this size 54 sweater is solid and consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired burn holes, a stitch popped front collar, material pulls, inner pilling and a couple of handfuls of team-sewn repairs. Shown above is a beautiful photo match of Leroux wearing this exact jersey during the 1997-98 season. A well-worn photo matched rookie jersey.
