1997-98 Curtis Joseph Game Worn Blocker & Catcher - Autographed
Lot #132

This fantastic set of goalie gloves were worn by Curtis Joseph during the 1997-98 NHL season. CUJO broke in this catcher during the 1998 Olympic Games and wore the set of gloves together later during the regular season and playoffs. This was CUJO’s last of 3 seasons with the Oilers before moving east to the Maple Leafs the following season.

With well in excess of 400 career victories and almost 50 regular season shutouts to his credit, CUJO continues his climb the All-time lists. He was awarded the 1999-00 King Clancy Memorial Trophy, which is given to the player who best exemplifies leadership qualities on and off the ice and has made a noteworthy humanitarian contribution to his community.

This set of goalie gloves shows excellent game wear. “CUJO” is beautifully embroidered on both gloves. Both gloves have been signed in silver sharpie by CUJO’s hand. The photos above show CUJO wearing the catcher as he prepares to head off for the Olympics as well as him in action wearing both the blocker and catcher later in the regular season with the Oilers. Hall of Fame goalie equipment is very collectible and isn’t often available to the hobby.
