Description
1997-98 Chris Therien Phladelphia Flyers Game Worn Jersey
Lot #233

This road orange air-knit gamer by Nike was worn by Chris Therien during the 1997-98 NHL season. The Flyers drafted Therien in the 3rd round of the 1990 NHL Entry Draft. After spending several years at Providence College, Chris played for parts of two seasons with Hershey and the Canadian National Team. His NHL career began in Philadelphia during the 1994-95 season. He would roam the NHL bluelines for 11 years, all of them with the Philadelphia Flyers but for an 11-game stint late in 2003-04 with Dallas. With over 750 games in a Flyers uniform, Chris became a fan favorite and began a career on the Flyers radio broadcasts after he retired in 2006.

The game wear on this old-styled Nike road sweater is solid and consists of stick and slash marks, plenty of board burns, un-repaired burn holes, a couple of minor skate slices and inner pilling. A nice example worn during the season that followed the Flyers only Stanley Cup Finals appearance of the Lindros era.
