1997-98 Chris McAlpine St. Louis Blues Game Worn Jersey
Lot #299

This home white air-knit gamer by Starter was worn by Chris McAlpine during the 1997-98 NHL season. The New Jersey Devils selected McAlpine in the 7th round of the 1990 NHL Entry Draft. McAlpine, a native of Roseville, MN, began his collegiate career in 1990-91 with the Minnesota Golden Gophers and earned All-WCHA Rookie Team honors as well as the Frank Pond Rookie of the Year Award. Before his collegiate career was over, he was named to the All-WCHA First Team as well as the 1994 WCHA All-Tournament Team. McAlpine also earned the 1993-94 John Mariucci MVP Award. Chris joined the New Jersey Devils after graduation. In his first and only season with the Devils, they captured their first-ever Stanley Cup. Chris would next spend 4 years with the St. Louis Blues before stints with Tampa, Atlanta, Chicago and Los Angeles.

The game wear on this 1st set size 54 sweater is solid and consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired burn holes, material pulls, heavy inner pilling and several team-sewn repairs. On the inside hem is the official St. Louis Blues game worn jersey and set stamp. Affixed alongside is the BlueNote Hologram.
