1997-98 Brendan Morrison Albany River Rats Game Worn Jersey - "30-year anniversary"
Lot #273

This red knit gamer by Bauer was worn by Brendan Morrison during the 1997-98 AHL season, his rookie year. Following 4 seasons at the University of Michigan where he won the Hobey Baker Award, Morrison joined the New Jersey Devils after being selected in the 2nd round of the 1993 NHL Entry Draft. He began his prefessional career with the Albany River Rats, spending 72 games with the club before being called up to New Jersey late in the season. Brendan would play for New Jersey for 3 years before joining the Vancouver Canucks. After 8 seasons in Vancouver, Brendan played briefly for the Ducks, Stars and Capitals.

Morrison’s only year in Albany was a successful one. He scored 35 goals and 49 assists for 84 points in 72 games. Offered here is Morrison’s road sweater from that rookie season. Sewn to the rear hem is the Professional Hockey Players Association patch, which celebrates their 30th anniversary. On the left breast of this gamer is a black sharpie autograph in Brendan’s own hand. Fantastic game use exists with loads of stick and heavy slash marks, numerous board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired burn holes and inner pilling. Beautiful gamer worn by this former Hobey Baker Award winner during his rookie year!
