This road blue air-knit gamer by CCM and RMC Sports was worn by Bill Huard during the 1997-98 NHL season. This undrafted Wellend, ONT native made his NHL debut in 1992-93 with the Boston Bruins. This tough guy enjoyed an 8-year NHL career that saw him represent the Bruins, Senators, Nordiques, Stars, Oilers and Kings. Spanning the AHL, IHL and ECHL, in 354 regular and postseason minor league games, Huard amassed an astounding 1911 PIMS! In 223 NHL games this enforcer compiled an additional 594 PIMS.
The upper sleeves on this sweater have been custom widened for Huard by the team. The game wear on this 1st set size 56 sweater consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer and inner pilling. Fight abuse is readily evident with washed-out bloodstaining, pilling on the inner collar and a torn and repaired front collar stretching downwards towards the crest. Shown above is a beautiful photo match of Huard wearing this exact jersey during the 1997-98 season. Sewn to the inside hem is the official Edmonton Oilers game worn jersey and set tagging. A well-worn fight abused photo matched enforcer’s jersey that hails from this tough guy’s first year with Edmonton. This jersey will be accompanied by an Oilers team letter.
