Lot #184

This red air-knit gamer by Bauer was worn by Team Czech’s Roman Hamrlik during the inaugural 1996 World Cup of Hockey. The Tampa Bay Lightning selected Hamrlik with the 1st overall pick in the 1992 NHL Entry Draft, their first as a franchise. This native of the Czech Republic began his NHL career with Tampa in 1992-93 and spent the first 6 years of a 20-year NHL career with the Lightning. Roman would also represent the Oilers, Islanders, Flames, Canadiens and lastly the Capitals. Hamrlik was the NHL’s active leader for games played with nearly 1400 prior to retiring in 2013. Roman was a 3-time NHL All Star who represented his country in the World Championships, 2 World Cups and 2 Olympics.

Sewn to the left shoulder of this jersey is the 1996 World Cup of Hockey patch. The game wear on this size 58 sweater is solid and consists of stick marks, board burns, a number of un-repaired burn holes and inner pilling. A terrific opportunity to acquire a Team Czech gamer, worn by this 3-time NHL All Star during the inaugural World Cup of Hockey. This jersey will be accompanied by an NHLPA letter.
