1996 Brian Rolston Team USA World Cup of Hockey Game Issued Jersey – “1996 World Cup of Hockey” - USA Hockey Letter
Lot #292

This blue air-knit jersey by Nike was prepared for use for Team USA’s Brian Rolston for the inaugural 1996 World Cup of Hockey. The New Jersey Devils selected Rolston in the 1st round of the 1991 NHL Entry Draft. After playing his college hockey at Lake Superior State, this Flint, MI native made his NHL debut with the Devils in 1994-95. Brian won his first and only Stanley Cup later that spring. He would spend his first 5+ seasons with the Devils before reuniting with them for another 3 seasons later in his career. All told this 17-year NHL veteran played in 1256 games while also representing the Colorado Avalanche, Boston Bruins, Minnesota Wild and New York Islanders. Rolston was an NHL All Star who 4-times struck for 30-goals in a season before ending his career with 342 goals and 761 points. Rolston also represented Team USA in the 1996 and 2004 World Cup of Hockey, the World Championships and 3 Olympics!

Sewn to the left shoulder of this jersey is the 1996 World Cup of Hockey patch. Rolston has added beautiful signatures to both the left breast and back player number. Affixed to the inside hem is the official Nike barcode. Sewn alongside is the official USA Hockey game worn jersey tagging. This jersey will be accompanied by a USA Hockey letter.
