Description
1996-97 Valeri Zelepukin New Jersey Devils Game Worn Jersey - Team Letter
Lot #271
This road white air-knit gamer by CCM was worn by Valeri Zelepukin during the 1996-97 NHL season. The New Jersey Devils selected Zelepukin in the 11th round of the 1990 NHL Entry Draft. Valeri made his NHL debut with the Devils in 1991-92 and skated for the team for the next 7 seasons where he won his first and only Stanley Cup in 1995. He finished up his NHL career with stays in Edmonton, Philadelphia and Chicago before returning to his native Russia where he played another handful of seasons. Zelepukin represented Russia in the World Championships, a couple of Super Series, the inaugural World Cup of Hockey and the Olympics.

The game wear on this 2nd set size 54 sweater is solid and consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired burn holes, fine inner pilling, a fight strap that has lost the battle to salt and rust and several team-sewn repairs. On the inside hem is the official New Jersey Devils game worn jersey and set information. This jersey will be accompanied by a Devils team letter.
