Description
1996-97 Mats Lindgren Edmonton Oilers Game Worn Jersey – Rookie – Team Letter
Lot #140
This home white air-knit gamer by CCM and RMC Sports was worn by Mats Lindgren during the 1996-97 NHL season, his rookie year. The Winnipeg Jets selected Lindgren in the 1st round of the 1993 NHL Entry Draft. This native of Sweden made his NHL debut in 1996-97 with the Edmonton Oilers where he played for three years before a deal sent him to the New York Islanders. Mats spent parts of four seasons on Long Island before wrapping up his playing days with a final season in Vancouver.

The game wear on this 1st set size 54 sweater is solid and consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired burn holes, material pulls, inner pilling and a couple of handfuls of team-sewn repairs. Sewn to the inside hem is the official NHL game worn jersey tagging. Sewn alongside is the official Edmonton Oilers game worn jersey and set tagging. A well-worn example that marked this Swede’s debut in the NHL. This jersey will be accompanied by an Oilers team letter.
