Description
1996-97 Jose Theodore Fredericton Canadiens Game Worn Jersey - Rookie
Lot #399
This home white knit gamer by Bauer was worn by Jose Theodore during the 1996-97 AHL season, his rookie year. The Montreal Canadiens selected Theodore in the 2nd round of the 1994 NHL Entry Draft. This goalie would spend parts of 10 seasons wearing the Montreal colors before he joined the Colorado Avalanche in 2005-06. After parts of 3 years in Colorado, Jose spent a couple of years in Washington, a season with Minnesota and most recently was guarding the pipes in Florida. The 2001-02 season was a special one for this netminder as he captured both the Vezina and Hart Trophies as the leagues best goalie and the NHL’s most valuable player respectively. In addition, Theodore was awarded the Bill Masterton Memorial Trophy in 2010, has played in 2 NHL All Star games and was a 2nd Team NHL All Star in 2002. This veteran goalie is also taking aim at the 300 Wins club.

Sewn to the right breast of this gamer is the sponsorship patch. The game wear on this size 58 goalie cut sweater is solid and consists of numerous stick and puck marks, goal post paint transfer and pilling. A terrific rookie sweater worn by this former Vezina and Hart Trophy winner.
