1996-97 Jason Norrie Edmonton Ice Game Worn Jersey - Inaugural Season
Lot #239

This home white knit gamer by CCM was worn by Jason Norrie during the 1996-97 WHL season, the inaugural season for the Edmonton Ice franchise. This Calgary native played four years in the WHL where he represented the Seattle Thunderbirds, Calgary Hitmen, Edmonton Ice and Kamloops Blazers. Following his junior career, this enforcer enjoyed an 8-year minor pro career that was spent predominantly in the ECHL.

Sewn to the right breast of this gamer is the sponsorship patch. The game wear on this size 56 sweater is solid and consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired burn holes and trauma, stitch pops and heavy inner pilling. Norrie played in 65 games, scoring 18 goals and amassing 308 PIMS while wearing this sweater on home ice! The Edmonton Ice existed for merely two seasons and their game jerseys have proven to be a fairly tough get. A well-worn offering by this enforcer from the first year of the Edmonton Ice.
