Description
1996-97 Deron Quint Springfield Falcons Game Worn Jersey - "Citgo"
Lot #477

This home white knit gamer by Bauer was worn by Deron Quint during the 1996-97 AHL season. The Winnipeg Jets drafted Quint, a native of Durham New Hampshire, in the 2nd round of the 1994 NHL Entry Draft. He began his NHL career with Winnipeg in 1995-96 and moved with the franchise to the desert where he spent the next 4 seasons playing for the Phoenix Coyotes. After a 4-game stint in New Jersey, Deron played for Columbus for 2 years, Phoenix for another and then the Blackhawks and Islanders. Since leaving the NHL in 2006-07, Quint has continued his playing career in Europe.

Sewn to the right breast of this gamer is the Citgo sponsorship patch. This sweater was worn by Quint during his first season as a member of the Falcons, as he tried to earn a regular spot on their NHL roster. Playing hard for their AHL affiliate proved to be the winning ticket and is clearly evidenced on this well worn gamer. Hundreds of stick and slash marks cover this home white knit. In addition there are numerous board burns, loads of board paint transfer, un-repaired burn holes, washed out bloodstains, heavy inner pilling and some tremendous team-sewn repair work, just less than two handfuls. This example will surely please those who crave their jerseys with heavy game use.
