This gold dazzle cloth alternate gamer by Champion was worn by Dave Spehar during the 1996-97 WCHA season. Spehar, a native of Duluth, MN graduated from the University of Minnesota in 2000 after having played 4 seasons on the wing for the Golden Gophers. Spehar was named Mr. Minnesota Hockey in 1996 for being the best high school hockey player in the state.

Sewn to the right breast of this gamer is the Golden Gophers 75-year anniversary patch. The game wear on this size L sweater is solid and consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, un-repaired burn holes and loads of heavy pilling. A terrific alternate that sports the coveted 75-year anniversary patch and hails from Spehar’s freshman season.
