Description
1996-97 Bryan Marchment Edmonton Oilers Game Worn Jersey Team Letter
Lot #87
This home white air-knit gamer by CCM and RMC Sports was worn by Bryan Marchment during the 1996-97 NHL season. The Winnipeg Jets selected Marchment in the 1st round of the 1987 NHL Entry Draft. This Scarborough native made his NHL debut in 1988-89 with the jets where he played for three seasons. Bryan’s NHL career would span 17 seasons, representing the Jets, Blackhawks, Whalers, Oilers, Lightning, Sharks, Avalanche, Maple Leafs and the Flames. This tough-nosed defenseman was happy to mix it up and ended his career with 2307 PIMS in 926 games of NHL service. His single season career best of 313 came in 1992-93 with the Chicago Blackhawks. Sadly, Marchment passed away in the summer of 2022 at just 53 years of age.

The sleeves on this gamer have been custom shortened with an extra panel added to each by the team. The game wear on this 1st set size 56 sweater is solid and consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, inner pilling and loads of team-sewn repair work concentrated in the elbows. Sewn to the inside hem is the official Edmonton Oilers game worn jersey and set tagging. A well-worn example by this 17-year veteran who sadly passed away at 53 this past summer. This jersey will be accompanied by an Oilers team letter.
