Description
1996-97 Brian Noonan Vancouver Canucks Game Worn Jersey - Team Letter
Lot #196

This home white knit gamer by CCM was worn by Brian Noonan during the 1996-97 NHL season. The Chicago Blackhawks selected Noonan in the 9th round of the 1983 NHL Entry Draft. This native of Boston, MA made his NHL debut in 1987-88 with Chicago where he played for 7 seasons, which included a trip to the Cup Finals in 1992. Brian was dealt to the New York Rangers at the deadline in 1994 and won a historic Stanley Cup later that spring. Over the course of a 12-year NHL career, this RW represented the Hawks, Rangers, Blues, Canucks and Coyotes.

Sewn to the right shoulder of this gamer is the Canuck Place patch. The game wear on this size 54 sweater is solid and consists of numerous stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, a salted fight strap and inner pilling. Noonan wore this sweater upon his arrival in Vancouver prior to the trade deadline. In 16 games played, Brian lit the lamp four times and added 8 assists for 12 points in his new digs in the Great Northwest. A well-worn example from the final season of the crest that replaced the “V” style and the color scheme that began at the end of the 1980’s and turned into the new Orca designed crest and colors. This jersey will be accompanied by a Canucks team letter.
