1995-96 Todd Ewen Anaheim Mighty Ducks Game Worn Jersey Career Best 285 PIMS Season Photo Match
Lot #101
This road purple knit gamer by CCM was worn by Todd Ewen during the 1995-96 NHL season. The Edmonton Oilers selected Ewen in the 8th round of the 1984 NHL Entry Draft. This enforcer made his NHL debut in 1986-87 with the St. Louis Blues. Ewen called St. Louis home for parts of four seasons before joining the Montreal Canadiens during the 1989-90 campaign. Todd spent four years with Les Habitants, three seasons with the Anaheim Mighty Ducks and one final season with the San Jose Sharks. The 1995-96 season saw this tough guy rack up a single season best 285 PIMS in just 53 games played with Anaheim. Over the course of his 11-year NHL career, Ewen played in 518 games and amassed 1911 PIMS! Sadly, Ewen, who suffered from depression, took his own life in 2015 at the age of 49.

Proudly sewn to the left breast of this gamer is the alternate Captain’s “A”. The game wear on this 1st set size 56 sweater is solid and consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired burn holes, a fight abused stitch-popped collar, washed out bloodstains, inner pilling and more than a half-dozen team-sewn repairs. A customized fight strap is also worthy of mention. Shown above is a beautiful photo match of Ewen wearing this exact jersey during the 1995-96 season. Sewn to the inside hem is the official Anaheim Mighty Ducks game worn jersey and set tagging. A tremendous photo matched enforcer’s gamer, complete with the coveted letter of honor and hailing from Ewen’s career best 285 PIMS season.
