This road black knit gamer by CCM was worn by Tim Sweeney during the 1995-96 AHL season. The Calgary Flames selected Sweeney in the 6th round of the 1985 NHL Entry Draft. After playing his college hockey at Boston College, this Boston native made his NHL debut in 1990-91 with the Flames where he played for a couple of seasons. Sweeney went on to represent the hometown Boston Bruins, the Anaheim Mighty Ducks and the New York Rangers over the course of his 8-year NHL career.
Sewn to the lower verso of this gamer is the AHL’s 60-year anniversary patch. Sewn to the right breast is the sponsorship patch. The game wear on this sweater is solid and consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired burn holes and fine inner pilling. Sweeney, who is the only Providence Bruin to ever score 40-Goals in a season, is also the franchise record holder with 25-points scored during a single postseason and is a member of the franchise all-time team. A well-worn example of this Boston born winger.
