1995-96 Petr Nedved Pittsburgh Penguins Game Worn Jersey - 45-Goal Season - Team Letter
Lot #141
This home white knit gamer by CCM wass worn by Petr Nedved during the 1995-96 NHL season. The Vancouver Canucks made Nedved the 2nd overall selection in the 1990 NHL Entry Draft. Petr began his career in the great Northwest, spending 3 seasons in Vancouver before heading to the Blues and Rangers for a year each. Nedved then joined the Pittsburgh Penguins for 2 years before rejoining the Rangers for 6 seasons and following that with short stints with the Oilers, Coyotes and Flyers before spending a handful of years playing in Europe. On the international stage he represented the Canadian National Team in 1993-94, played with Team Canada in the 1994 Olympics and then the Czech Republic during the 1996 World Cup of Hockey.

Nedved’s finest individual season came whilst a member of the Penguins in 1995-96 when he netted 45 goals and 99 points while wearing this jersey. The game wear on this size 54 sweater is solid and consists of hundreds of stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired burn holes, a fight strap that has succumbed to salt and rust and heavy inner pilling. A hammered example worn by this 40-goal scorer.
