Description
1995-96 Nelson Emerson Hartford Whalers Game Worn Jersey
Lot #167
This road blue knit gamer by CCM was worn by Nelson Emerson during the 1995-96 NHL season. The St. Louis Blues selected Emerson in the 3rd round of the 1985 NHL Entry Draft. After graduating from Bowling Green University, Emerson began his NHL career with the Blues in 1990-91 and spent 3 seasons with the club. He next skated for a couple of years in Winnipeg, a couple more each in Hartford and Carolina, then had brief stints with the Hawks, Senators and Thrashers before finishing his career with the LA Kings. This highly decorated collegiate winger went on to score a career best 33 goals with the Jets in 1993-94.

The game wear on this 1st set size 52 sweater consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired holes, washed out bloodstains, a well-salted fight strap and inner pilling. On the inside hem is the official Hartford Whalers game worn jersey and set information. Emerson netted his 2nd best career goal total of 29 goals while wearing this sweater during his first year with the Whalers.
