This home white air-knit gamer by CCM was worn by Micah Aivazoff during the 1995-96 NHL season. The Los Angeles Kings selected Aivazoff in the 6th round of the 1988 NHL Entry Draft. Aivazoff made his NHL debut in 1993-94 with the Detroit Red Wings where he played for one season. Micah went on to play for the Edmonton Oilers for a year and last spent a year with the New York Islanders all encompassed around a 13-year professional career that included spending several seasons in Europe.
The 1995-96 season saw the Islanders experiment by going to new colors and a Fisherman crest. The game wear on this size 54 sweater consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, inner pilling and some team-sewn repair work. The Fisherman era lasted merely two seasons on the Island. Now nearly 25 years removed from the ice, these short-lived gamers are becoming increasingly more difficult to obtain as collectors realize their value.
