1995-96 Ken Baumgartner Toronto Maple Leafs Game Worn Jersey - Photo Match – Team Letter
Lot #135

This home white knit gamer by CCM was worn by Ken Baumgartner during the 1995-96 NHL season. The Buffalo Sabres selected Baumgartner in the 12th round of the 1985 NHL Entry Draft. This Flin Flon native made his NHL debut in 1987-88 with the Los Angeles Kings where he played for parts of three seasons before being dealt to the New York Islanders in the fall of 1989. This enforcer spent parts of three seasons on Long Island before joining the Leafs during the 1991-92 campaign. Baumgartner played for the Leafs for parts of five years and went to the Conference Finals in back-to-back seasons during his stay. Ken finished up his NHL career with stops in Anaheim and Boston. Over the course of 12 seasons, this tough guy played in 696 games and amassed a most impressive 2242 PIMS! His single season career best came in 1988-89 with the Kings where in just 49 games Kenny registered a resounding 286 PIMS!

The game wear on this 1st set size 56 sweater consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired burn holes, loosening of the nameplate and inner pilling. Shown above is a beautiful photo match of Baumgartner wearing this exact jersey during the 1995-96 season. Sewn to the inside hem is the official Toronto Maple Leafs game worn jersey and set tagging. A terrific photo matched enforcer’s gamer from Baumgartner’s last season in Toronto. This jersey will be accompanied by a Maple Leafs team letter.
