Description
1995-96 Joe Murphy Chicago Blackhawks Game Worn Jersey
Lot #239
This road red air-knit gamer by CCM was worn by Joe Murphy during the 1995-96 NHL season. The Detroit Red Wings selected Murphy with the 1st pick in the 1st round of the 1986 NHL Entry Draft. After playing his college hockey at Michigan State University, Murphy began his NHL career in Detroit in 1986-87. During his 4th season, the Wings dealt him to the Edmonton Oilers where he won a Stanley Cup in his 1st season. Joe spent 3 years in Edmonton and then joined the Hawks for a 4-year stint. He finished his career with stops in St. Louis, San Jose, Boston and Washington. Murphy was twice a 30-goal scorer during his 15-year NHL career.

The game wear on this size 56 sweater consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired burn holes, inner pilling and a couple of team-sewn repairs. The sports registry barcode sticker can be found on the inside number.
