Description
1995-96 Bryan Smolinski Pittsburgh Penguins Game Worn Jersey - Photo Match
Lot #377

This road black knit gamer by CCM was worn by Bryan Smolinski during the 1995-96 NHL season. The Boston Bruins selected Smolinski in the 1st round of the 1990 NHL Entry Draft. After graduating from Michigan State University, this Toledo native began his NHL career in 1992-93 with the Bruins where he played for 3 seasons. Over the course of his 15-year NHL career, “Smoke” represented the Bruins, Penguins, Islanders, Kings, Senators, Blackhawks, Canucks and Canadiens. Bryan, a 30-goal scorer, played in 1056 games and netted 274 goals and 651 points.

The game wear on this size 52 sweater is solid and consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, un-repaired burn holes and fine inner pilling. Shown above is a beautiful photo match of Smolinski wearing this exact jersey during the 1995-96 season. This was Bryan’s first road jersey worn as a member of the Penguins from a season that saw him score 24 goals and add 40 assists for 64 points.
