This home white air-knit gamer by CCM and Eastside was worn by Bob Rouse during the 1995-96 NHL season. The Minnesota North Stars selected Rouse in the 4th round of the 1982 NHL Entry Draft. This Surrey, BC native made his NHL debut in 1983-84 with the North Stars where he played for 6 seasons. Rouse went on to represent the Washington Capitals, the Toronto Maple Leafs, the Detroit Red Wings and finally the San Jose Sharks. While with Detroit for four seasons, Bob appeared in three Stanley Cup Finals and walked away with a pair of Stanley Cup rings. All told this tough defenseman played in 1061 games and accumulated 1559 PIMS over the course of a 17-year NHL career.
The game wear on this size 54 sweater is solid and consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, un-repaired burn holes, material pulls, inner pilling and no less than a half-dozen team-sewn repairs. Shown above is a beautiful photo match of Rouse wearing this exact jersey during the 1995-96 season. On the inside hem is the official Detroit Red Wings 70-year anniversary stamp. A well-worn photo matched example that hails from the Red Wings 70th anniversary season and was worn by this two-time Stanley Cup Champion.
