1995-96 Bob Probert Blackhawks Game Worn Jersey - 1st Chicago jersey - Photo Match - Video Match
Lot #173

This road red air-knit gamer by CCM was worn by Bob Probert during the 1995-96 NHL season. This was Probert’s first jersey worn as a member of the Chicago Blackhawks. In it Bob scored his first regular season goal as a Black Hawk. After being drafted in 1983, Probert made his NHL debut with Detroit during the 1985-86 season. He began doing his thing right from the start, chipping in 21 points and 186 PIMS in 44 games as a rookie. He would soon make a strong impact on the Wings. In 1987 and 1988, Bob helped lead his team to the Conference Finals where they fell both times to the Oilers dynasty. In the 88 playoffs, Probert tallied 8 goals, 21 points and 51 PIMS in 16 games played, showing his true versatility. Probert spent his first 9 seasons with the Red Wings. After some off ice problems, Probert’s career landed him in Chicago where he ran roughshot over the league with the Blackhawks for 7 seasons. All told Bob played for 16 seasons in the NHL and retired as one of the all-time penalty minute leaders with 3300 PIMS! Considered one of the most feared men who ever laced up the skates, this tough guy will never be forgotten by the fans who witnessed his wrath.

This spectacular gamer was worn by Probert for the first few months of the 1995-96 season upon his arrival to Chicago. There exists solid game wear as well as significant fight abuse. There are stick marks and board burns, washed out bloodstains, un-repaired holes, inner pilling and 8 team-sewn repairs. The collar shows massive amounts of fight abuse with stitch pops all around while also showing what being stretched and tugged upon so many times will leave it looking like. There is a plate change worthy of mention.

Shown above are video highlights of Probert wearing this exact gamer. Included are clips of Bob’s goal scoring prowess which includes his first ever goal as a Blackhawk. What would video highlights of Probert be without fight footage; also shown are some classic Probert bouts while wearing this very jersey. Also shown above is a photo of Bob wearing this sweater following a fight, take note of the exaggerated stretched out collar! The Blackhawks registry tagging remains affixed inside as does a black sharpie 96 alongside a crossed out 95 in the equipment man’s hand. Presented here is an excellent opportunity to acquire a world class heavyweight gamer which will make any hobbyist proud.
